That’s a third gen (1981-1988) Opel Ascona, but the Opel was never available as a wagon. Only the RHD markets (Vauxhall Cavalier) got them as a wagon, for some strange reason . What is a Perua?

Perua is the brazilian term for Station Wagon. It’s also the female form of turkey (peru), and local slang for cougar. No idea how it came to be associated with station wagons, maybe there’s some sort of association between older women and Station Wagon s sorta lik e Soccer Moms and Minivans. This one specifically is a specialty built version of the Chevrolet Monza, our local Opel Ascona derivative, and by the looks of it, it was modified by a company called Envemo, which also made aftermarket kits for the Opala

Australian division did design wagon version for Holden Camira. Vauxhall Cavalier was offered as wagon using Australia sourced parts. I t didn’t sell well but I don’t know how long it was available . Unlike their South American cousin the Holden version had to use different rear door windows .
